Former U.S. Department of
Agriculture employee Densealean Leftwich has pled guilty to Department of Justice
charges that, in exchange for $200 payments, she submitted false time and
attendance forms for a co-worker. According to the plea’s terms, entered in a U.S.
District Court, Leftwich could receive a maximum of six months in prison. The
Justice Department said that between January 2002 and January 2004, Leftwich conspired
with a fellow worker at the
by altering time and attendance forms, adding overtime hours that the co-worker
never actually worked. The co-worker agreed to pay Leftwich $200 for each
falsified form submitted. The co-worker—who also has pled guilty and is
awaiting sentencing—earned $29,500 for more than 1,000 overtime hours never
worked.
