Sinister “ghost jobs,” or opportunities posted with no intention to actually fill them, so that companies may artificially inflate their appeared growth. These ghost jobs cloud labor statistics, wastes time for job seekers, and quickly erodes away any trust employers have. During a time when the labor market is already constricted with tight immigration reform, mass layoffs, and AI advancements, ghost jobs present false hope and muddy waters.
